About Mark’d

Stumbling on the sweet spot:

Mark'd is my lifeblood.

A product of my own evolution as an entrepreneur and service-provider.

A causation of practicing what I preach: blending my innate strengths with passion and strategy.

A result of several honest and somewhat overly dramatic conversations with myself about what I truly wanted to be when I "grew up."

A by-product of taking one step backwards followed by two steps forward.

And a culmination of only the things I excel at.

During my second year in business with Mackenzie Image Consulting, I had a friend say to me, "It sounds like you enjoy running and growing the company more than you do the client work."  That statement, seemingly insignificant sounding, hit me like a ton of bricks. It caused me to question my entire big picture. I spent the next year fighting this revelation for two reasons: I didn't know what to do with it and I feared I had made a big mistake. What happened next? Revenue dropped and contempt set in. That's the irony of the revelations we often encounter in business - they drag you through the desert before you hit paradise. With a swift kick in the pants, I pushed through my self-induced state of delirium and replenished the value MIC was known for, but with a new scalable model and structure. And it worked. This pivot has lead me here -- to Mark'd.

The concept of Mark'd is built on the notion that generating revenue through your passion is a tasty blend of strategy and personal branding. I have witnessed through my own business what this concoction has done to my bottom line. Through Mark'd, I strive to give life to your entrepreneurial big picture. Buckle up though, it's going to be a wild ride.
